Dartmoor and South Devon
Cycling and MTB
There are a number of cycle tracks in the Dartmoor and Devon area suitable for family cycling, though with young children you may need to select your route with stops and refreshments in mind. I hope you find the following useful.
The Exe Estuary Trail – 26 miles – from Exeter to Exmouth – generally level off-road family cycling.
The Granite Way – 11 miles – between Okehampton and Lydford along a former railway line, with spectacular views with superb viaducts along the way. Includes a short on-road section via Bridestowe, continuing to Lydford along the former railway line also see The Granite Way
For the more dedicated and experienced
The Dartmoor Way – 140 km (90 miles) – Although the full cycle route is not for the faint-hearted, the Dartmoor Way offers a wide variety of cycling experiences on different sections over its length, to suit most abilities.
yogicycling.com/local-info/routes – has a selection of routes from Plymouth
Dartmoor Classic Cyclosportive – 100 mile or 100 km
